A meaningful year : an occupational therapy based approach to health and well-being
Wren, Jo
Book
Our physical and mental health is what enables us to do the things we need to do, and well-being (our feelings of being healthy and happy) is what helps us to live a good quality of life. This resource was created by drawing together evidence and guidance from the occupational therapy literature, from the recovery literature in mental health, from the author's experience of her own mental health recovery journey, from working with clients guiding them on their journey, and from working with highly skilled colleagues. It draws together a model of how meaningful activity or occupation can promote health and well-being and how this can be applied to everyday life in practical ways through a series of projects and ideas to take our practice further into routines that make up our lifestyle.
