The autobiography of Alex Williams MBE, a talented goalkeeper who took over from Joe Corrigan at Manchester City, his boyhood team, during the early 1980s. Unfortunately, after establishing himself as first choice, Williams struggled with injury and, following a short spell at Port Vale, was forced to retire from playing before reaching his prime. After hanging up his boots, he spent 30 years with Manchester City's Football in the Community scheme and was awarded an MBE in 2002 for services to young people.
