Abstract: The Boundary Commission for England is required to keep the representation of England in the House of Commons under continuous review and periodically report to the Secretary of State. This, the first general review of all constituencies since 1995, was started in 2000. The results are published in four volumes. The first volume is the report itself, which gives and overview of the processes involved and the judgements. The second volume of appendices contains the rules for the redistribution of seats and details of all the constituencies in tabular form. The other two volumes are maps. The report recommends that there should be 533 constituencies.
