Faith, Hope and Charity : three planes against an air force

Poolman, Kenneth1974
Books, Manuscripts
The book tells the story of the three famous Gloster Sea-Gladiators that defended Malta in the early stages of the Second World War. There were four that had been left behind by HMS Glorious (one was held in reserve for spares) and the three operational planes, now manned by former flying boat pilots took on the might of the Regia Aeronautica. Alone, they won many victories against overwhelming odds, until they were eventually given belated support by Hurricanes flown in from HMS Argus. This is the glorious story of these three old "Stringbags".
